Common known issue : Yoyo system does not allow me to send vouchers/gift cards via SMS.

As per the screenshot below, click on “Batch Issue” then select NEXT..…
On the following screen – click on “Send via SMS” and select NEXT…
You will see the issuing page as normal.

- Context
Yoyo enables businesses to issue digital rewards such as gift cards, coupons, or discount codes via SMS - a reliable and widely accessible channel. This SMS issuance flow is used when WhatsApp is not supported or when SMS is the preferred delivery method. Before rewards can be sent out, each campaign must have an SMS message template configured by a Channel Owner. Once configured, Batch Issuers can use either a manual or bulk method to deliver these rewards through a simple step-by-step interface.
- Pre-requisite Setup (One-Time)
Before any messages can be sent via SMS:
- A Channel Owner must configure a valid SMS message template for the campaign.
- This includes defining the message content and inserting required variables like #WICODE or #BALANCE. Variables are listed within the flow itself for reference.
- As an Issuer, you will not be able to proceed without the variables, #WICODE or #BALANCE. If these variables are not included within the message, an error will be shown on the screen and block the user from continuing.
- This ensures all sent messages are consistent and functional for all recipients of the applicable channel.
- Once this template is saved, users with the Batch Issuer role can access and use the SMS issuance flow.
- Two Ways to Issue via SMS
After the message template is configured, the Batch Issuer can choose between:
i. Batch Issuance (Manual Entry): best for smaller groups or ‘Batches’.
- Enter recipient details Mobile Number directly into the UI.
- Set a fixed value to be issued to all recipients.
- Confirm and send.
ii. Bulk Issuance (CSV Upload): best for larger-scale campaigns with high volume of issuances in one go.
- You’ll:
- Select issuance type (Bulk Issue)
- Add relevant details to the issuance.
- Fill in the required fields: Name, Mobile Number, Issue Amount, etc.
- Download the CSV template via the interface.
- Populate the CSV with the required details.
- Upload the file and validate it in the system.
- Review, then click Issue Campaign to send the SMSes.
- Select issuance type (Bulk Issue)
