When a Merchant wishes to open a new store:
- The Merchant Registration Form (MRF) (in the link) needs to be completed for all new stores.
(Please ensure the name of the store correlates to what Head office calls the store for uniformity) - Please ensure that you provide the Payfast ID and Encryption key for your store, this will ensure that any linked card payments in store or on app will be able to be processed. (This can be requested by signing up with Payfast, document attached at the end of the article.)
- The team will also require the Trading hours to be configured for the app.
- Confirmation that Snapscan or Zapper needs to be enabled at the store.
- The Registrations Team will then register the store and return the yoyo Store ID to the Store Owner who requested the registration via a ticket.
- The Store Owner Must then:
- request the wiCode installation directly from his/her POS provider via their support desk channel
- To get on the POS provider's Installation schedule, the POS provider will require the yoyo Store ID to create the ticket and complete the installation.
Merchant Agreement form:
The Merchant Registration Form is the form to be completed for each individual store that want to be registered on the wiPlatform. The Merchant Registration Form can be edited according to the needs and requirements of each store or retailer. All information on the form relevant and should be completed with caution. Proof of Banking (cancelled cheque or letter from the bank) should be submitted as supporting document along with the Merchant Registration Form.
1.1 Merchant details:
The first field on the form is store and company information.
The Store Name is what will be used to identify your store on the portal, and all apps integrated. In most cases it is helpful to use the city/town/street or Mall as an identifier if the owner has many stores within one retailer group.
Some stores have a Merchant ID, KSA number or other code as a store identifier they will use in order to identify the store within their company and system.
1.2 Merchant Contact Details:
Very important to get the correct contact name and email address as all recon and settlement reports sent are personalized and sent address to the owner and the email address supplied.
1.3 POS Provider:
The POS provider or Point of Sale provider is a very important element to the registration process. The different POS providers have different requirements within the registration process:
1.4 Merchant Physical Address:
Address detail should be very accurate and precise as the detail filled in here is what will be used to find the location of the store in all apps activated for the store. The address will be pinned and displayed according to GPS coordinates provided.
1.5 Banking details:
The banking details provided are used for all settlement and payments made to the store owner. The details provided here should be 100% accurate and correct as yoyo will not accept responsibility for incorrect details supplied.
The process can take 2-3 working days from receipt of a signed Merchant Registration form.
